Part Time Pooch, a unique dog-sharing site started by West End resident Gavin Flett, connects dog owners with doggie hosts, for animal lovers who are don’t like the idea of leaving their animal in a kennel when away on vacation. 

What is so unique about this service is that doggy hosts don’t get paid for their pet sitting services. The idea is they do it out of pure love of four-legged friends. Owner, host and animal meet to make sure they’re a fit, then sign an agreement spelling out the terms of the pet sharing arrangement.

Toques and socks are being sold by organizer Raising The Roof, for $10 each in support of long-term solutions to homelessness. 80% of net proceeds from sales will benefit the agencies in the communities where toques are sold.  The remaining 20% support the national homeless initiatives.
