Golf Courses in the Vancouver Area

Even though Vancouverites can hit the green pretty much all year, the summer is still the best time to spend a few hours on a golf course. There are many courses on the Lower Mainland, but we’ve selected a few to help you choose your next golf destination. Here are our favourite golf courses in the Vancouver area.

Burnaby Mountain Golf Course

This public course features state-of-the-art facilities (including heated driving range stalls!) and amazing views of the Burnaby valley. A gorgeous way to spend a morning or afternoon on Burnaby Mountain. Website.

The beautiful setting of this premium public golf course makes it a great place not only to golf, but also to enjoy a drink at the clubhouse afterwards. The course has received several awards, including Best New Course in 1998 and Best Places to Play in 2004, 2005 and 2006 by the Golf Digest. Website.

Mayfair Lakes Golf and Country Club

This Richmond course has a great secluded location with an amazing view of the North Shore mountains. It is a favourite course for PGA and CPGA professionals, and is consistently voted in the top 10 Vancouver golf courses. Website.

Guildford Golf and Country Club

Whenever you go on the Lower Mainland, you can enjoy beautiful settings for golf courses. This Surrey golf course is no exception. With a 12th hole modeled after the one at Augusta National and numerous lakes and creeks, this is a challenging yet satisfying course. Website.

University Golf Club

Last but not least, right next to our Vancouver accommodations, is the University Golf Club. Opened since 1929, this historical course features traditional fairways and beautiful old growth trees. The clubhouse menu is among the best in town, too.
